Fall Paddle on the Mon- Paddlers will travel by canoe and kayak from the Point Marion Community Park to the Glassworks Boat Launch, just outside of Greensboro during this one-day paddling trip. A lunch break at the Two Rivers Marina and Campground will include presentations from local leaders on the rich history and special amenities of the Mon River Towns.
Fall Fest at Community Square in Fredericktown- Enjoy the fall weather and a beautiful view of the Mon at Fall Fest in Fredericktown. There will be Food Booths, Craft Vendors, Face Painting, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, and live music by The Split!!
Haunted Ghost Tours of Nemacolin Castle-The Castle will be open for evening guided tours that share the history of the Castles’ many residents—and some who may still live there today!
BARC’s Taste of Italy- Don’t miss BARC’s annual fundraiser at the Brownsville Sons of Italy, starting at 6:00 p.m. Twelve local winemakers will share 70 types of wine and attendees will have the oportunity to vote for their favorite in the “People’s Choice” contest. Enjoy authentic Italian food and fun, including a Chinese auction. This year’s proceeds will focus on the renovations to 27 Market Street that will house the relocation of the Brownsville Pharmacy as well as the Rose house at 320 Market Street with plans to develop it into a B&B overnight lodging house. Tickets are $35 in advance, available the BARC office or by phone at 724-785-9331; $40 in advance.
